“The wound is the place from where the light enters”. Rumi
When faced with adversity, the task of managing the prayer times, the body sequences and the language gave me a new focus. The interconnectedness of the ritual practices and the ethical teachings allowed me to remain firmly anchored on the ground, while still giving me wings to sore through the exploration of my own spirituality and develop a greater understanding of the world and of my own place in it. The intimacy between my grief and the discovery of words of the Quran gave me great relief and left me thirsting to know more about this source of peace.
